(formerly Avalon Rare Metals Inc. until February 2016) is dedicated to discovering, appraising, and advancing rare metal and mineral deposits, predominantly across Canada. The company's efforts concentrate on sourcing critical elements such as lithium, tantalum, cesium, indium, gallium, germanium, tin, yttrium, zirconium, and various rare earth elements. Avalon fully controls several major ventures, including the Nechalacho project, which covers 5,786 hectares across eight contiguous mining leases at Thor Lake in the Northwest Territories' Mackenzie Mining District. Other key holdings are the East Kemptville project, an exploration license spanning approximately 1,165 hectares northeast of Yarmouth, Nova Scotia; the Separation Rapids project, encompassing roughly 4,414 hectares through nineteen mineral claims and one mining lease near Kenora, Ontario; and the Lilypad project, consisting of 14 claims (166 new cells) over about 3,299 hectares northeast of Pickle Lake, Ontario.
