About Bionano Genomics, Inc.

Bionano Genomics, Inc. focuses on providing advanced solutions for analyzing genomes. The company's flagship offering is Saphyr, a complete system that processes samples to results, enabling the analysis of structural variations in the genome using optical genome mapping. This technology is vital for deciphering genetic variations and their functional roles. The Saphyr platform includes the Saphyr instrument, a device capable of imaging single molecules; the Saphyr Chip, a disposable component equipped with nanochannel arrays for DNA linearization; and Bionano Prep Kits and DNA labeling kits, which provide essential reagents and protocols for extracting and tagging ultra-high molecular weight DNA. Furthermore, Bionano Genomics supplies Saphyr and Bionano compute servers to support its analytical operations. It also offers NxClinical, a single software system designed for the analysis and interpretation of genomic variants identified through microarray and next-generation sequencing data, serving both cytogenetics and molecular genetics applications. In addition to its product line, Bionano Genomics delivers a variety of specialized testing and laboratory services. These include: FirstStepDx PLUS: A chromosomal microarray service used to identify underlying genetic causes in individuals with autism spectrum disorder, developmental delay, and intellectual disability. Fragile X syndrome (FXS) testing services: Comprehensive diagnostic testing for FXS. NextStepDx PLUS: An exome sequencing test aimed at detecting genetic variants associated with childhood developmental disorders. EpiPanelDx PLUS: A genetic testing panel for patients experiencing seizures, infantile spasms, encephalopathy, or febrile seizures. PGx test: A pharmacogenomics test that identifies over 60 alleles across 11 genes relevant to drug response. Bionano Genomics was founded in 2003 and operates from its corporate headquarters in San Diego, California.
