Its operations are structured into three main segments: Utilities, Energy Infrastructure, and Corporate & Other. The Utilities segment delivers regulated transmission and distribution services for electricity across northern and central-eastern Alberta, the Yukon, and the Northwest Territories. It also manages integrated natural gas transmission and distribution networks in Alberta, the Lloydminster region of Saskatchewan, and Western Australia. This segment boasts significant infrastructure, including approximately 9,000 kilometers of natural gas pipelines, 16 compressor stations, nearly 3,700 receipt and delivery points, and a salt cavern storage facility for peaking demand situated near Fort Saskatchewan, Alberta, Canada. The Energy Infrastructure division focuses on electricity generation, natural gas storage solutions, industrial water services, and developing associated infrastructure in diverse locations such as Alberta, the Yukon, the Northwest Territories, Australia, Mexico, and Chile. The Corporate & Other segment is responsible for the retail sale of electricity and natural gas specifically in Alberta. Established in 1927, the company is headquartered in Calgary, Canada, and operates as a subsidiary of ATCO Ltd.
