Beyond its core function of generating and transmitting electricity, it also manufactures wood and other biomass fuels. Its comprehensive involvement in the energy sector includes the investment, import, transport, and sale of coal, along with the sale of fly ash and the production and distribution of fertilizers. The company also supplies activated coke. J-POWER manages various plants, such as welfare, wood pellet manufacturing, and nuclear power facilities, and is responsible for the operation and maintenance of telecommunication facilities and waste-fueled power generation plants. Furthermore, it undertakes the construction and upkeep of electronic and communication infrastructure. Its logistical operations encompass the ocean transportation of coal, ash, and fly ash. The company offers a broad array of services including environmental conservation research, planning, and analysis; surveying and compensation for construction sites; investment management; research and development for projects; facility maintenance; business process outsourcing; and software development. It also provides civil engineering, construction management, and specialized engineering services for atmospheric and water pollutant removal equipment, in addition to offering consulting expertise. J-POWER possesses substantial domestic assets, including 60 hydroelectric power plants totaling 8,560 MW, 13 thermal power facilities with a capacity of 9,200 MW, 21 wind power installations contributing 500 MW, and a single geothermal facility yielding 23 MW. This infrastructure is complemented by 2,410.1 kilometers of power transmission lines and 9 substations and converter stations. Internationally, the company extends its reach, operating 33 power generation facilities across Thailand, the United States, China, and other global locations, collectively producing 6,523 MW.
