Its business operations are strategically structured into five distinct segments: Automotive, Process & Environmental, Medical-Diagnostic, Semiconductors, and Scientific. The Automotive segment specializes in equipment for vehicle testing and development. Its offerings encompass a comprehensive range of analyzers for automotive emissions (including onboard systems), driveline test systems, engine and fuel cell test systems, and battery test systems. This segment also provides test systems for chassis, powertrains, brakes, and catalysts, as well as assessment tools for water electrolysis cells/stacks. Additionally, it delivers vehicle development and testing engineering services, alongside the leasing and management of research and development facilities. Within the Process & Environmental segment, HORIBA provides crucial solutions for industrial process control and environmental monitoring. This includes stack gas analyzers, industrial water quality monitoring systems, air pollution analyzers, environmental radiation meters, and various other process measurement equipment. The Medical-Diagnostic segment focuses on supplying essential diagnostic instruments. These comprise analyzers for hematology, C-reactive protein (CRP), immunology, clinical chemistry, blood glucose, and coagulation/hemostasis. For the semiconductor industry, the Semiconductor Instruments & Systems division delivers vital tools such as mass flow controllers, chemical concentration monitors, reticle/mask particle detection systems, residual gas analyzers, and vaporizers. Finally, the Scientific segment offers sophisticated analytical instruments catering to diverse research and laboratory applications. Its products include Raman, X-Ray fluorescence, and fluorescence spectrometers, pH meters, particle-size distribution analyzers, elemental analyzers, optical components, and gratings. HORIBA's broad product portfolio finds application across numerous sectors globally. These include arts, entertainment, recreation, education, scientific research, government, food and beverage, energy, environmental protection, healthcare, industrial manufacturing, information technology, water management, materials science, mobility, transport, and waste management.
