Its product line includes a variety of veterinary chemistry analyzers: the Element DC, DCX, and DC5x series, along with the Element RC, RCX, and RC3X systems, all tailored for blood chemistry and electrolyte analysis. For hematological assessments, Heska offers the Element HT5 and scil Vet abc Plus analyzers, capable of measuring blood cell and platelet counts, as well as hemoglobin levels. The company also supplies Element POC analyzers for blood gas and electrolyte testing, Element i immunodiagnostic analyzers, and the Element COAG and Element AIM veterinary analyzers for coagulation studies. Beyond analytical instruments, Heska's offerings extend to advanced imaging and clinical solutions such as HeskaView Telecytology, which provides automated microscopic slide scanning equipment for clinics, and IV infusion pumps. They also distribute digital radiography hardware, including mobile units, sophisticated ultrasound systems, and Cloudbank, a web-based platform for image storage. For rapid, in-clinic detection, point-of-care products are available to identify antigens and antibodies associated with infectious and parasitic diseases in animals. Therapeutic options include Tri-Heart Plus chewable tablets for treating canine heartworm, ascarid, and hookworm infections. The company also specializes in allergy management, offering ALLERCEPT definitive allergen panels for diagnosis and personalized therapy shots or drops. Furthermore, Heska develops a range of vaccines for bovine health. It supplies biological and pharmaceutical products to other animal health companies and offers comprehensive turnkey services encompassing research, licensing, production, labeling, packaging, validation support, and distribution. Products are distributed to veterinarians via a direct telephone sales force, third-party distributors, trade shows, print advertisements, and other strategic partnerships. Founded in 1988, the company was initially known as Paravax, Inc. before rebranding as Heska Corporation in 1995. Its corporate headquarters are located in Loveland, Colorado.
