Within its Electronics division, Ibiden manufactures crucial components such as IC package substrates, which are vital for data centers, personal computers, automotive electronics, and entertainment systems. It also produces printed circuit boards, essential for smartphones, data processing centers, and various automotive electronic applications. The Ceramics segment offers an extensive range of products, including diesel particulate filters and specialized exhaust system components tailored for diverse vehicles like cars, buses, trucks, construction machinery, and agricultural equipment. Additionally, Ibiden produces SCR Catalyst Substrates, which are critical for diesel vehicles, power generation facilities, marine engines, diesel locomotives, as well as applications in glasswork and cement manufacturing. The enterprise was originally established as Ibigawa Electric Power Co., Ltd. before adopting its current corporate name in November 1982.
