Other notable offerings include INOmax, a vasodilator designed to improve oxygenation and reduce the necessity for extracorporeal membrane oxygenation; the Therakos photopheresis immunotherapy platform; Amitiza for constipation; and StrataGraft, indicated for adults with deep partial-thickness burns. Additionally, Mallinckrodt is advancing pipeline candidates like Terlipressin for hepatorenal syndrome and SLN 501, an investigational ribonucleic acid silencing therapy. The Specialty Generics division supplies specialized generic drugs and active pharmaceutical ingredients. The company's branded products are marketed to a broad spectrum of healthcare professionals and entities, including physicians, respiratory therapists, pharmacists, hospital procurement departments, ambulatory surgical centers, and specialty pharmacies. Mallinckrodt plc also maintains a collaboration with Silence Therapeutics plc for the development and commercialization of ribonucleic acid interference drug targets. Established in 1867, Mallinckrodt plc and its affiliates initiated voluntary reorganization proceedings under Chapter 11 in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware on October 12, 2020.
