About NexTier Oilfield Solutions Inc.

NexTier Oilfield Solutions Inc. (NEX) specializes in delivering essential well completion and production services across a variety of demanding and active energy basins. The company organizes its operations into two distinct segments: Completion Services, and Well Construction and Intervention Services. The Completion Services segment is primarily focused on enhancing the recovery of oil and natural gas, particularly from formations with low permeability and restricted hydrocarbon flow. Its offerings include hydraulic fracturing, a suite of wireline services, perforating, pumpdown operations, pipe recovery, pressure pumping, and wellsite make-up and pressure testing. As of December 31, 2021, this segment boasted approximately 2.1 million hydraulic fracturing horsepower, 101 wireline trucks, and 76 pumpdown units. Conversely, the Well Construction and Intervention Services segment provides critical cementing solutions, employing custom-engineered mixing and blending equipment to ensure precise annulus isolation and hydraulic seals, thereby safeguarding freshwater zones from the areas of interest. This segment also supplies engineering software and expert technical guidance for remedial cementing applications, alongside acidizing services aimed at optimizing well performance. Furthermore, it offers specialized coiled tubing services, assisting clients with diverse objectives in horizontal completions, workovers, and ongoing well maintenance. At the close of 2021, this division operated approximately 17 coiled tubing units and 74 cementing units. NexTier primarily serves major integrated and independent oil and natural gas exploration and production (E&P) companies, both domestically within the United States and internationally. Established in 1973, NexTier Oilfield Solutions Inc. is headquartered in Houston, Texas.
