Its diverse product offerings include a wide array of freight cars such as open-top and covered hoppers, gondolas, triple hoppers, and innovative hybrid aluminum/stainless steel railcars. They also manufacture specialized vehicles like ore hoppers, ballast hoppers, aggregate hoppers, intermodal flats, and non-intermodal flat cars. Further expanding its portfolio, FreightCar America provides coal cars, general bulk commodity cars, coil steel cars, boxcars, woodchip hoppers, aluminum vehicle carriers, and articulated bulk container railcars. In addition to manufacturing new railcars, the company engages in selling used railcars, offering leasing options, and performing railcar rebuilding and conversion services. It also supplies various forged, cast, and fabricated parts for railcar applications.
