Reliance Infrastructure Limited (RInfra), an Indian enterprise founded in Mumbai in 1929, is a multifaceted infrastructure company with a primary focus on producing, transmitting, and supplying electrical power to a wide range of residential, industrial, and commercial clients throughout India. The company's operations are structured across three main divisions. The Power segment oversees the management of various energy generation facilities, including a 220 MW combined cycle power plant at Samalkot, a 48 MW combined cycle power plant at Mormugao, and a 9.39 MW wind farm in Chitradurga. This division is also responsible for electricity distribution in Delhi, operates a 165 MW combined cycle power plant in Kochi, maintains power transmission networks within Himachal Pradesh, and participates in power trading. Through its Engineering and Construction (E&C) segment, RInfra delivers a comprehensive suite of services encompassing construction, installation, project commissioning, and general contracting. The Infrastructure segment is dedicated to the development, operational management, and ongoing maintenance of key assets such as toll roads, metropolitan rail systems, and airports. Beyond these primary areas, RInfra engages in the exploration and production of energy resources, holding interests in four coal bed methane (CBM) blocks totaling approximately 3,266 square kilometers across Madhya Pradesh, Andhra Pradesh, and Rajasthan, as well as an oil and gas block covering 3,619 square kilometers in Mizoram. The company is also involved in the rehabilitation and enhancement of National Highway 66. Its diverse ventures further extend to manufacturing cement and defense systems, constructing smart city initiatives, and developing real estate and urban transport solutions.
