SBM Offshore N.V. specializes in delivering floating production solutions to the global offshore energy industry. Its operations are divided into two primary segments: Lease and Operate, and Turnkey. The company's expertise spans the entire lifecycle of offshore assets, from their design, supply, and installation to ongoing operation, leasing, and life extension. This encompasses a diverse range of vessels and platforms, including Floating Production Storage and Offloading (FPSO) vessels, semi-submersibles, tension leg platforms, specialized Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) FPSOs, turret mooring systems, and LNG regasification to power vessels. Additionally, SBM Offshore is involved in floating offshore wind projects, brownfield and offshore loading terminals, and offers catenary anchor leg mooring (CALM) or single point mooring (SPM) terminal solutions. The company also provides comprehensive services for floating unit mooring, flexible flowline, and subsea structure installation. As of December 31, 2021, SBM Offshore's operational fleet included 14 FPSOs and one semi-submersible unit. Originally founded in 1862 as IHC Caland, the company officially rebranded to SBM Offshore N.V. in 2005. Its corporate headquarters are situated in Schiphol, the Netherlands.
